Brenda Mott, ScrapsKC's founder, spent her childhood in the 70's discovering, building, and creating sparking a lifelong passion for repurposing and reimagining.
As a teacher, Brenda recognized the value of resourcefulness and regularly repurposed items for her classroom. In 2016, together with her husband Jeff, she opened the doors of ScrapsKC in the West Bottoms.
Thanks to the boundless generosity of our community, ScrapsKC, now located in the heart of Midtown, flourished into a dynamic hub for artists, families, educators, and creators of all kinds.
