Host a Community Back-To-School Supply Drive to Empower Teachers & Transform Students’ Lives
Without basic supplies like pencils and books, children living in poverty face greater barriers to learning than their classmates. Hosting a drive or contributing to one can ensure ScrapsKC is equipped to continue providing FREE supplies, helping break the generational poverty cycle. Your donations foster equity in education by providing the necessary tools for success!
In 2025, your generosity benefitted over 700 teachers who served no less than 25,000 students. Our trends in 2026 indicate that twice that many teachers are coming to ScrapsKC for help to serve over 49,000 students.

Equip students in need with supplies for back-to-school by procuring individual supplies or supplies for entire classrooms.
Coordinate the donation of supplies and bring them to ScrapsKC.

Come volunteer with us!
Volunteer for our Back-to-School Supply Drive and make a difference! Gather a group (up to 25 people, ages 3+) and complete the volunteer application—just note “Back-To-School Supply Drive.” Our coordinator will help schedule your visit.
During your two-hour session, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes tour and help sort, organize, and package school supplies for students. It’s a fun, hands-on way to give back and help kids start the school year ready to succeed!
