Ways to Give
Become Part of the ScrapsKC Mission
It takes a community to care for Kansas City. Join our community and make a difference.
Provide a Meal
Cook for a group of our homeless volunteers or provide individual meals for one or two.
Donated items are used for our programs and workshops, or are sold for pennies on the dollar and used by artists, teachers, children and other creative-minded individuals for creative and educational purposes. Sale proceeds provide meals, dignity, and survival items for the homeless and helpless throughout the metro area.
ScrapsKC loves creative scraps and so do our customers. Home scraps, craft stash items, and other odds and ends you have around the house can be dropped off at ScrapsKC. Please review our NEW list of items not being accepted or, if you have any questions about a donation, please contact the store.
Reduce your waste and recycling costs by donating your manufacturing seconds, overruns and by-product materials as well as office and stationery supplies.
Teach your students to be good environmental stewards. Start a ScrapsKC collection box in your classroom and have your students help fill the box for creative reuse.
We can no longer accept Christmas holiday items through December.
Other Ways to Help
Helping others happens in many ways. Your donations provide a place of refuge and care for the homeless.
Help Us Care for the Homeless
We are always collecting supplies for the homeless that we work with on a daily basis. Due to our small storage space, please contact us before bringing clothing and blanket donations. View our list of homeless care supplies for ideas on what to bring.
Donate gift cards for the homeless
Do you have an assortment of gift cards with just a few cents on each of them? Combine them to purchase materials to sustain our homeless. We also accept $5 and $10 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, Quiznos and Pizza Hut that are given to our homeless volunteers as needed.
Ready to Make a Difference?
We’re always looking for partners. ScrapsKC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and can always use monetary help for homeless renewal, reuse programs, and day to day needs. Become part of our community to care for Kansas City. Together we can do so much for sustainability, education, and homelessness.
